Man from Milford, a town of 1,500 people, wins $50,000 Powerball^® prize

Mark Lewinski from Kosciusko County won $50,000 during the rising Powerball® jackpot run in early January. Mark purchases tickets for all three Powerball drawings each week, and picks the same numbers each week. 

"Every morning I wake up I read for a little bit and then watch the news. I had seen on the news that the Powerball jackpot was hit, so I thought to myself, 'Well, I might as well get my tickets checked to see if I won a little bit of cash.'" Mark noticed that he matched four numbers and the Powerball. He instantly started to get excited--he could not believe that many numbers had matched. Immediately--working through his state of shock--he called his brother. They always joke with one another, so it took a lot of convincing. His brother said, "This is not a funny joke. Cut it out!" Mark works with mergers and acquisitions for a living. The only major plans he has for his prize money is to pay off his truck. He is very excited to finally not have a car payment every month.
